Who is A1 Learners?

Established in November 2004 by a retired Grade 6 DSA driving instructor, our team of fully qualified male and female driving instructors provides professional driving lessons, to help you gain a full driving licence confidently and safely.

A1 Learners is a strong dynamic driving school that's grown organically and we have consistently avoided offering driving lessons at financially uneconomic rates or providing potentially dangerous driving lessons with unqualified instructors.

A1 Learners enjoys a strong team of fully qualified DSA approved driving instructors who offer a uniquely professional and educationally responsible service. Many of our instructors are now teaching second generation pupils. A1 Learners is rightly proud of it's incredibly low turnover of driving instructors.

And yes we really have been around since 2004. Take a peek at us way back in 2004, we may look different now but the message remains the same. Quality!

• We've never had "quick fix teaching methods" or "miracle teaching formulas" and probably never will!
• We pioneered fixed rate driving lesson prices
• We've never charged you a supplement if you can only learn to drive at a weekend or in the evening
• We've always thought it unfair to penalise you simply because you can't learn to drive in the day time
• We've never offered silly prices just to get you in the car
• We'll never sit you at the roadside for a whole hour and read to you from a book
• We'll never slice 10 minutes off each one hour driving lesson because in six hours you'll have lost  a one hour lesson
• Now £15 for 50 minutes is actually £18 per hour

So, whether you're looking for manual or automatic driving classes our instructors can offer you the best tuition available. Even if you're returning to driving after a period of time or intend to supervise your son or daughter as a back up to learning with us we can offer you a custom designed course of refresher driving lessons in either manual or automatic cars.

DSA fully qualified instructors

You'll always learn with a fully qualified DSA approved driving instructors. We don't have unqualified instructors because we wouldn't be able to guarantee safe driving tuition with a trainee instructor. We won't allow you to learn to drive with an unsupervised and unqualified driving instructor, many driving schools rely heavily upon trainees; though they'll still charge you the full lesson price.

Our Team

When some driving schools boast a team of driving instructors standing by to teach you to drive it usually means it's just an instructor who happens to know some other instructors. We really do have a team standing by and we can proudly name them.

Unlike many driving schools A1 Learners doesn't train people to become instructors.
